Responsible Steel Standard Certification: Case Grupo Ferroeste.

Project stages
Vennx was contracted to assist the Ferroeste Group in the implementation of Anti-Bribery Management Systems (SGA) and Compliance (SGC), essential for obtaining the Responsible Steel Standard certification.
The methodology used was structured in several stages, each designed to ensure that the company was in full compliance with the certification requirements, as listed below:
- Map of Related Parts.
- Specific training requirements.
- Anti-Bribery Management System (SGA) and Compliance Management System (SGC) Scope Statement.
- Definition of the scope of the Program, indicating areas, units, companies, and processes.
- Matrix of risks, reports and reports related to bribery and Compliance risks.
- Bribery and Compliance Risk Matrix, based on the ACFE Fraud Risk Assessment.
- Integrity Risk Mitigation Treatment Plan (RACI Matrix).
- Action plans for treating and responding to risks mapped in the Bribery and Compliance Risk Matrix.
- Non-financial controls suitable for the main business processes, such as purchases and relationships with public officials.
- Template with the set of non-financial controls to be implemented in the processes listed in the scope statement.
- Integrity Indicator Plan.
- Panel with compliance indicators, with their respective metrics, managers, and measurement frequency.
Achieved results
Thanks to the partnership with Vennx, the Ferroeste Group was able to develop and implement the following results:
- Development of the Scope of the Anti-Bribery Management System (SGA);
- Preparation of the Scope of the Compliance Management System (SGC);
- 18 Compliance indicators developed;
- 35 compliance controls evaluated;
- 32 proposed new compliance controls;
By integrating robust management systems and effective controls, Ferroeste guaranteed compliance with ISO 37001 and 37301 standards, and strengthened its position as a leader in sustainable practices in the steel industry.
